"mysterious mining camp back beyond Cerro Gordo"
Why is it that I have read in several places that Beveridge is just past Cerro Gordo? Isn't it closer to Keynot Peak? I have read so much contradicting information about the best way to get to Beveridge. Are there any recommended websites with roads clearly marked? There were some maps on the BLM website of the New York Butte quad, but I don't see them anymore. Can someone just tell me all they know about Beveridge?

The best way in to Beveridge is to take the Saline Valley Road North from Hwy-190. I visited there about a year and 1/2 ago while checking out the Saline Valley Hot Springs. used the Dept. Forestry map $6.00, available by calling 928-443-8285 which will connect you to the Dept. Forestry map division. also used the Southern California Atlas Gazetteer. coming in from the North has less cross trails and roads to navigate, however rougher and slower. I recommend coming in from Hwy-190 from the South.
