Whats Your Opinion? If you only had 2 days in the death valley / Saline Valley areas. what ghost town locations with ruins would you visit? Why?

While you await a reply, you might check out Cecile's site www.explorehistoricalif.com (http://www.explorehistoricalif.com) Or maybe e-mail her directly. OJ

Actually, I would suggest joining us over at www.death-valley.us and post the same question!

Also you can see in my photo gallery http://trips.explorehistoricalif.com/gallery_frames.htm
two trips to Death Valley that were weekend trips - and the ghosttowns we visited. Rhyolite, Skidoo, Leadfield,Inyo, & Ballarat, are in and around Death Valley, and in good weather not that hard to access with 4wd vehicles. Also, outside of Death Valley in the Inyo's - my all time favorite CerroGordo.

If you go to death-valley.us you will find people that are regular Death Valley travelerss that can give you much more advise than I can.

Keep in mind if you are planning a trip this year - severe winter storms are wreaking havoc with a lot of the areas - so please check current road & weather
conditions. This weekend in particular could be an interesting one!

I agree that Death-Valley.us (http://www.death-valley.us/) is a great start, but I would also recommend that you visit eBray.net's Day Trip Guide (http://www.ebray.net/dv/tripguide.htm) - "Only have a day or two to visit the largest National Park in these 48 contiguous states? These quick trip suggestions might help you make the most out of your brief glimpse of Death Valley."
