I'm new here, so this may be a dumb question...but... why is Oroville,CA (Pop.13,000 and Butte County seat), Magalia,CA (1300 and growing) and several more towns here in Butte County,CA listed as "ghost towns" on the Ghosttowns.com website ? ...

I wondered about Gruene, Texas being included. It's definitely populated by quite a few people. I assumed that it was because it was now a tourist town and not populated for the same reasons as originally?
