I need a good thesis for a reseach paper

I have a research paper that needs to be done soon, but need some suggestion on a thesis. I am currently on my way to Montana. Does anyone know of some excellent ghost towns to visit?

Look around the Butte area; it's chock-full of ghost towns. I was just there last week and although I didn't get to get out and look around for myself I read up on the history and got a couple of maps and there are tons of ghost towns and mines around Butte.

Just a suggestion; What about describing how a mining district was formed, how it operated, its limitations, its advantages in a lawless area (and era) and follow up with how the particular district that you chose either survived, or didn't, and what is there now. In Montana, you have a choice of 192 mining districts (and that's combining a few). I know because I've researched them all - and visited most of them.
