Don't bother trying to sell your nokia/cell phone/herbal/IPOD/garbage on this forum. Your posts will be bumped into oblivion as soon as they are noticed. Anyway, NOBODY HERE WANTS TO BUY YOUR BOGUS, KNOCK-OFF CRAP!

Also, fellow GTer's, please remember to report these jerks using the little scale and triangle in the upper right of each post. Adding to their reputations can cause them to be banned.

Unfortunately the spammers tend to be programs being run by some guy that likely will never see this site. If it were made legal to hunt spammers, I'd have a new hobby :D

This would go for the spammers that send you junk mail too. Including those that send political ads and call you wanting to know who you'd vote for if the election was held today.

yea, I hate those people. seems they always call at dinner time. I like to ask them for their phone numbers at home so I can call them back. thats when they start back peddling... "I can't do that sir, my number is confidential". What's wrong, you don't want me to call you at home while your eating dinner?

My answer machine announces, "If you're a telemarketer, hang up now and remove this number from your call list, for everyone else, have an eggnog slurpee, and leave me a msg".

FYI
The National Do Not Call Registry phone number is:
1 888 382 1222

or online:
National Do Not Call Registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx)

Registration is good for five years and then you have to re-register. Charities and political groups are exempt.
If someone violates the no-call list, try to get their number or name of their organization and report them at the web site.
I wish they had the same list for dirty rotten no good miserable spammers
We registered and seldom get unwanted calls..except from relatives

I often dream of this happening to all spammers:

Those are the only ones that bother me. I used to give to the firemen and cops, but when you get 3 or 4 groups calling claiming they are with the before mentioned every month, it gets old.

I just tell the political guys I'm an ex-felon convicted of killing people that ****** me off and smuggling cocaine disguised as powder donuts and they let me out to make room for a guy that got caught with a joint and a parking ticket. Seems to work.

Charities and political groups are exempt are only exempt for the first call. If you tell them not to call then they can be fined $10,000 for each call they make to you. At least here in Michigan. There was a story of a guy that told a Charity not to call but they still did, he then sued them for the next 10 calls they made and the Judge awarded him the money...LOL

However this is why I have a cellphone and no home phone. I never get those calls as they can not call cellphones...plus I did also register my cellphone number in the National Registery too.

Actually, most cell carriers are selling their #'s now, and you can get solicitation calls, as I have in the past. I tend to not be very nice to those folks ;)
