It takes people to make a forum interesting, so the door is open to all avid parties. So come and ask your questions? Indicate what special map your looking for? As an old retired Professor of Earth Sciences, I’ll be there to assist you? Hey! I might be a senior, but I have years of experience with old maps.

The Historical map forum is at, http://historicmapsres.bbfast.com

Thanks for the heads up. I was almost going to visit when I saw your warning.

So what happens if I click the link?

The hair on my toes caught fire! Yow!!!

It looks legit, but there are no maps, all the sponsers are sex sites, & thre are no member posts.

I checked it out, but saw no ads. Then again my spyware/spamware blocks so much stuff I rarely do.

The map site is actually http://www.historicmapsrestored.com

This is just supposed to be a topic forum for maps, I guess.

But having porn pop ups or sponsors in general doesn't look good for business. ;)

Well, there are sponsor links that display porn, so you were in the neighborhood ;) But it does seem legit, at least to me.

Some message boards use sponsors to pay the bills, like this one. They may be pop-up ads, or just links. Many are random, and most you can choose the content.

Hi gang:
As of this day, the link is legit and takes you to a "Maps Of The Past" website. I purchased a copy of an 1825 map from them about a month ago and they are a-ok.
