A few days ago, I was on the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle and I noticed quite a few ghost towns along the route. However, there was one particular ghost town that drew my curiousity and I asked the conductor and car attendant if they knew anything about this town and neither knew the name.

This ghost town was east of Cut Bank, if I remember correctly, and there had to have been at least a dozen buildings. This town was north of the train tracks and it had a huge monument as you entered the town.

Is anyone familiar with this ghost town?

I believe you are referring to the town of Altyn, which is a shade west of Cut Bank on the Blackfoot Indian Reserve. I'm afraid I don't know anything about this town, but you've got my interest up now.Oro-Y-Plata.
