No need to respond unless you can help.

You want to post them like Joel does in other words?

Yeah, I can get one to show but more than one they come up as attachments that you have to click to open.

Put your pics somewhere on the internet then link them using IMG tags like this . . .

IMG]http://full image address[/IMG

You have to put [ at the start of the string and ] at the end.

Try Photobucket.com

This allows you to load your pics off your computer. It will give you some codes that you will post in the threads.

Army typing school wasn't good enough (or I wasn't bright enough) for me to enter some crazy code thats 100+ characters long with no mistakes for every photo.

Theres got to be a way to resize the photos in my files & use the browse...No???

You wont have to type the code.

You click on it and its copied automatically, then you just paste it. You don't need the brackets the other guy mentioned. Its real easy.

I'm sorry, I know I'm dense...but Browse doesn't take me to my photobucket acct, it only takes me to my files & computer. So...is there a way to resize photo's in my files & post photos on the forum using "Browse"??????? & get 4 to a post like Joel's??????? If so what size?

I think the issue is that you just need to paste the code form photobucket into the body of the thread. You don't need to browse. Other than that not too sure.

When you go to your album in photobucket, there are codes under the pictures.

Click on the one listed as
IMG CODE.

Then paste the code into the reply. So you will have to go to the photbucket site then go to GT.com

I know you are trying to help, but I can't get it to work.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to resize pictures (& what is the size) & browse them onto the forum, or this impossible?

Maybe this will solve the issue.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c139/Joelfriday/Ghost%20Towns/00.jpg
Select the image. Right click with mouse again. I find OPEN LINK IN NEW WINDOW is the easiest.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c139/Joelfriday/Ghost%20Towns/01.jpg
You should be able to see the RESIZE button. If not, bounce through the tabs.
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c139/Joelfriday/Ghost%20Towns/02.jpg
Double Click RESIZE
http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c139/Joelfriday/Ghost%20Towns/03.jpg
Adjust to your heart's content. Don't forget to hit SAVE.
On this forum, I find it easier to type text before PREVIEW POST is hit. Once you do that, the images will show and it can be a bit of a bear typing around them.

GaryB

Since I have no experience with Photobucket, I'll leave any help with it from actual users like Joel. I know with Webshots (my storage) you can view the pic in a new window or the "actual" size and when you right click it, it drops a menu that has "proprieties" listed. Select properties, then you can copy the link or domain address. Then when you post here, click the "image" icon in the post menu, paste the link in the pop up form and you have it. If you do it right, the image will show up in your post menu, and in post preview so you don't have to actually submit the post till you are sure you're ready.

That being said, it's easier to use a hosting site than loading from your PC as an attachment. Reason one is this site has a maximum 95KB (IIRC) per attachment. That usually means a smaller picture. If you direct link it, you can get the biggest picture available as it takes up no storage space as an attachment.

If a site has protection, you'll find that the right click option is of no available use when trying to copy pics or "snag" them.

Test.

It seems I can't re-size any bigger using the free hosting service.

Dont worry about putting the brackets and extra stuff.

Just use the code that gets copied.

Then paste it in. Copy then paste thats all :)
