Drawbridge had no reason to exist other than as a den of ill repute. During prohibition it was the center of vice for the south SF bay area. Whiskey & wimmen' were the ruin of many men.

We hiked out on a cold day in Nov 75' with a thermas of coffee & Irish in a flask to keep warm. The thrill of the rushing train helped keep us alert.

Afterwards we hit Vahl's in Alviso for a bourbon & bog water to calm our nerves...then we had another.

Don't suppose that you have any pictures of Hanger One at NAS Moffett Field? It use to be the home of the U.S.S. Macon. I got in trouble there early in my enlistment. We had a bomb threat there (darn sailors!) and three of us went there to secure the building. I looked down the hanger and saw some sailor towing a P-3 across the hanger about six city blocks down. I turned to the Sergeant of the Guard and looked him dead in the eye. "You have got to be f------ yanking me!" I told him.

Well, the bay area's got its high & low points.
It's funny how the military figures into ghost towning. Moffett field is close to Drawbridge, you allmost could of walked to it from there, (h ell, you could of) & I was at Ft Ord & lived in those weird old barracks with their old vibes.

Sorry, no, I don't have any pictures of hanger one, (is that one of the Zepplin hangers?) But it sounds like you were facing the typical BS.
