I know there are a few buildings that they moved from Kern to Lake Isabella. I took a few pictures and posted them here

My grandma lives in this town. I think they use it for western movies too. Real neat.

Lake Isabella is about 42 miles NE of Bakersfield. I've been there and to the surrounding towns many times. Kernville and the surrounding area is all historic, related to 19th century mining, and some native american areas.

Several years ago, a family moved a bunch of 19th century buildings and also used old timber to create some other buildings, and opened a little "tourist ghost town" called Silver City, near Bodfish and Lake Isabella. Kinda along the lines of Calico, just on a much smaller scale. We went there shortly after it opened, and I think those pictures are from Silver City rather than Lake Isabella.

The family did an excellant job of recreating the feel of an old wild western town, and is well worth the nominal entry fee (IMO). :)
