I went out between the Silver Bells and Ragged Top yesterday.

I started off with finding an old water tank that was not riddled with bullet holes. I started off excited.

There was enough of the old to keep me excited. Thought for a second that I had actually beat the mindless to an area in the Ironwood National Forest Monument.

The Airstream really let the air out of me. No A/C or swamp coolers were running. This was snow bird turf.

An old well.

Despite my dark and foul thoughts, I left the joint alone and had to admit that they had one **** of a view. Up the road was a recent well.

All I just want to know what kind of a real 4WD man brings spray paint with him. I might come out of the desert looking like a mad-man Moses, but I would gladly throw down with the guilty.

Always ruins of fancy glass.

Always!

This might look like the border, but it is not. A wash that the BLM has closed off to ORV'ers that refuse to obey the law. It ought to be so fancy and grand west of Nogales.

I did find out what a guzzler was on the topos! So did the killer bees!

An old shot out sign begging to be read.

More glass.

A locked gate, closed road. Wants to see the US Government in court regarding public access.

The old site.

You can see the rocks piled in a row.

Unlike the ghost-towners on the East Coast and Mid-West who look for old insane asylums where the staff beat the inmates about the head with shovels, I got the proof that man lived here once. Not much doubt for any regarding this I am sure.
Not much history. Just one site that I know of in the area. Would love to see if anyone else has knocked around this area.

Joel, great pictures as always. Bees in the desert need water to cool the hive. They make their own swamp coolers or something, but they will locate water and swarm to it in warm weather, drinking and taking the water back to the hive so that it doesn't overheat.
