: Adams Family Graves - The Adams Family Graves are located on a dirt road near the Baker County line. It is a small family grave yard that also has four unknown civil war soldiers graves. No one knows if the graves belong to confederate or union soldiers. Driving down the road you can hear moaning and see things moving in the woods but when you reach the grave yard you hear nothing and see nothing except the graves. If you sit in your car for a while you can see people enter the grave yard and hear them talking. then they disappear and you hear and see nothing again

Been to all of those places. My local ghost hunters club-"Haunted Albany" has toured nearly every place on the national lists in Southwest Ga. (TheShadowlands.com,etc) We go to all of the surrounding areas as well. We have taken pics and video at Adams family Gravesite, 7 Church's Rd(including the abandoned old church and cemetary), and the Naval Hospital. Check out my site for some pics- www.freewebs.com/hauntedalbany (http://www.freewebs.com/hauntedalbany)
I sent some directions to Turner Field Naval Hospital on your other thread. If its confusing PM me. We are going to some other counties this Saturday night(7/1) and see what we can find. We have experienced something unexplainable at all of these Albany places though.

Hey Ashlev: There's a 7-11 worth checkin' out on Main, a K-Mart that's to die for, and a keen vacant lot up on the North side, around Oak and 12th. There are a lot of places in Albany. The Yellow pages gave me my start. OJ

I realize this thread was started a while ago, but if anyone is interested, there is a new ghost hunting team in Albany, GA. The current website is http://ghosts.meetup.com/643/

Hmmm.... ghost hunting team, yep that IS very interesting. But, I'm more curious to know if you realized this was a ghost town website? And if so, why would you still post here instead of moving over to a paranormal dedicated board.

Course, now on the other hand, folks like you DO give some of us here somethin' to shoot at, every now and then when it gets a bit slow.

I guess it's more of a balance issue. :)

i need to know who to contact on investigating the naval hospital there in Albany. All the links i google are dead and useless links. We are just beginning our investigative team here in south georgia so i am learning the ropes on the proper channels to go thru that will not be breaking any laws.
thanks

Mandy, you seem like a sweet person. I am impressed with your ethics.
If you read the previous entry on this thread, you'll know we're about ghost towns.

To the Board.......
I just realized something.......
Is it possible that there are no places for wild eyed adventures, ( such as
ourselves ), to go back east??? Is the pursuit of the paranormal the only
way available for this new breed restless souls to explore?
Is the only "frontier" left, the occult?

Mandy,
Hey, FYI,

Back in the late 80's I was working a job in the summer for Washburn's Moving and Storage and one job I went on was to the old Hospital to move someone's belongings out of the place. It was still open at the time, also one of my close friends was actually born there. It wasn't a mental hospital according to him and his folks. I'll see if I can get more info the next time I see his dad.

I live in Albany, and there's allegedly a house on South St. in east Albany that's haunted by an old man who's supposed to watch over anyone who lives there. A friend and I went looking for it one night, but with no address we just speculated that it was a gray house that's near a dead end on the street or a white house that you come to at the last intersection. If anyone wants to get a group together to search for some more houses feel free to email me at gamjr74@hotmail.com It's kind of boring going at this alone.

I can go, but I don't have any wheels right now. What'll do is take the bus to Phoenix (as that's as far as I can afford), and then start walkin' east, paralllel to I-10 and you head west in your vehicle to pick me up. I figure you can meet me in Casa Grande, and we can head back to Albany.

Enclosing a photo so you'll be able to recognize me.
Thanks in advance. :)
