: Gary,

: It has been a few years since I was lat at Lundy Lake. It mostly is a fishing/camping resort affair. I saw one historical building walking west from the resoret area. The mine site is WAY UP on the mountain side. Have warm sleeping bags, even for July, for that High Sierra can get into 40's or lower at night. Maybe mossey on over to Bodie, if you haven't been there. Your daughter should like that if she is into old west ghost towns. Good camping in Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows, and along the Walker River north of Bridgeport. Have fun. It is so beautiful at Lundy!

: The fishing is good, its wet in may and june, you might want hiking boots. The nearest ghost town is Bodie, its remarkably preserved. Mono lake is a great place for a kayak if you have one, it is both serene and surreal. The best fishing is at the lakes up the ridge just south of Lundy, youll see the mining road going up the mountain, it leads to two old mines, and four lakes that have great fishing , brookie and rainbow trout, try a black ant with a leader...I hope you and your little girl have a wonderful time...its a special place...and there are beaver ponds just up the road straight up from the store, very pretty.
