I've been roamong the southwest for nearly 50 yearws now and it's the best one yet. No people living there like most other ghost towns, no junk from people, nothing for sale. It's open to the public , being on BLM land. Any SUV

: ,truck, etc can drive in. A regular car might have a rough time. There's about 22 buildings there in different states of ruins. Some have the roofs, walls, doorways, wooden planking floors, etc. The town is on one side of the hill and the mining operation is on the other.Heres some pics of it. Steve in so az

: This must have been the explosives bldg as it has double walls and lots of vents in the outer wall.

: Tom - It seems like so many ghost towns are really lived-in towns with convenience stores, stuff for sale, etc. In this one you can feel the ghosts of the past dancing on the still existing plank floors, going to the mine or checking the horses, see the woodwork and oddities they had. I just might go back soon ! Steve in so az

: What worries me, I've been there a number of times, and as you say, has not been over run by people that don't care about preserving our past. The more we exploit this place, the more trash, vandalism and destruction we will see.
