: I wanted to say thank you for your reply. My son and I decided to hit Northern Nevada, and had a blast finding a few ghost towns. One of the very remote ghost towns was "COMMO". Their was not much left, but we did find an old Rock Structure, and a couple mining machines. Just the fact of being so remote and aware from everyone was awsome.

: I am curious if you have any information regarding "OLINGHOUSE, NV", which is just outside of Wadsworth. The reason for the Question is that their was a guy up their that stated we where trespassing, and that claims had been staked all over and that we "had been warned". It was a really uncomfortable situation, especially since I had my 8 year old son, and explained that I was only trying to show and teach him some real history. My understanding is that "OlingHouse" is all BLM land, and the main road that we where on and didnt leave off of was a public access road. It really was to bad about leaving, as their are many old buildings, and things to look at.

What maps I have show the area as not being private property. Things like this should simply NEVER happen! I'm really glad you left a post on the message board for the rest of us to read, it may save someone else an ugly confrontation!

: The pup and I have run into a couple of psychos out there ourselves! Nevada has some very odd characters! We even have a friend that was shot not to far from Lucky Boy, NV! Thank God the bullet hit their car and not them! The police are still investigating.

: If you ever find yourself in the Eastern Sierra area of California, please email and let us know! We would LOVE to show you around some of the not well known sites here!
