Janice - Hi, sorry this is a decade late. Apparently there was at least one other White City in Iowa. This one was in the south-western part of Mahaska County -- in an area dominated, early in the 20th Century, by coal mines. Here's the best location I can figure out: Located in Jefferson Township, Township 74N, Range 17W, Section 24 in north-west corner of the Section. This was about two miles west, and one mile north of Lakonta (which is still occupied).

White City was on the line of the Chicago & North-Western Railway -- a line they built specifically in order to tap into the rich coal reserves. The heavily-researched Buxton, Iowa, was just south and west of White City, across the Monroe County line.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
