Behind the rustic "old buildings" ( actually a little bit old as they were built back in the days of making "B" movies there ) there are folks living there. Anyhow a place worth visiting if in the area. Located 4 miles west of Yucca Valley off of hyway 62 which runs from down Palm Springs way up to and thru 29 Palms. Google it for a map. Pioneer Town.
I posted this about a year and a half ago. Since then became aquanted with another place in that area which is a "old west town" developed originally for reenectors to gather for fun weekends playing "old west" and which has become self supporting as a location for western movie filming. I started construction on my own building in November . . . and then moved in to live there in the spring of 2011.

Please contact me as well. I am a novelist, and could certainly contribute some sort of journalistic and/or newspaper to the community.

My friend Nick... Am in the planning stages of starting a late 1800's town in Texas; a gated community/historical preservation location. If still interested contact me at russell.jim15@yahoo.com

At beginning stages of forming self-functioning 1800's "wild west" town. Anyone interested let me know.

I think this is a terrific idea. I would definatly live here for a little while. Considering I'm still a kid myself, my whole family would come but im sure they would all be interested in living somewhere new for a bit. Keep us updated on the progress of your building!
