The front of the moose, is already loose
However the rear, is nowhere near
So the headís on a plaque, without itís back
Which is in the wall, not in the hall
ĎCause the wall in the hall wasnít tall

So if you desire, to be the buyer
Of an empty headed moose, without his caboose
You can pick it up cheap, itís out on the heap

But if you desire, to be the rear buyer
Then from that room, weíll have to exhume
So weíll need a crew, to come undo
The work of some Quack, who desired the rack
And I have a hunch, this will cost you a bunch
But how can you pass, on a nice piece of . . . Moose.

Thereís a moral there, but I donít know where

Bravo NW! You deserve the moose (both ends) but I'm hoping you'll grant visitation privileges .... Tuesdays & Thursdays the head, every other weekend the other end, of course I'll pay for shipping as soon as I figure out the postage...and where to put the stamp.

BB, are there any other souvenirs left that compare with the stature of the noble moose?

When awarding NW the moose, I had in mind trying to talk him into donating Mickey to the LauraA Bards Foundation. I think NW would be happy to give MM to such a benevolent organization.

Otherwise, there is one nice Elk head named Lawrence, and one huge Grizzley Bear head called Adam. The Raccoon (Bandit) was sold to some Brits from Liverpool.

The LauraA Bard Foundation was established to reunite bards and down-on-their-luck rhymers with their iambic pentameter. We have a special dispensation given for haiku writers, they're too far gone and in a world of their own.
Moose Laureates enjoys a prominent place on our wall of shame....err fame.
Lawrence the elk wouldn't have the impact Mickey Moose does. Anyway, Lawrence has a preference for standing in front of lodge halls wearing light bulbs on his antlers and greeting men wearing red fezzes. Adam Bear has moths and fleas and is losing fur in huge clumps. (Rogaine has been prescribed, if that fails, maybe glue and faux fur would work)
Forget about Bandit, he's acquired a taste for crumpets and last seen he was gallivanting around London with Her Majesty's Royal Corgi.

Yikes...I can't bake that many cookies, and nobody would want to buy my castoffs, we might need to seek donations of useable items. (dang...it's not easy administering a foundation) or wearing one for that matter
Perhaps marination as opposed to extrication is called for?

    Default Chestnut Lodge

Does anyone know if the buildings are still up? Is it possible to get in and see anything or is there security?
