I was there from 1971-1976. I was 14 when I got there. I knew Dr.B he ran Upper Cottage until the adolescent division was opened then he ran that along with Sissy Schmidt who was my head nurse at upper cottage. They were all dope heads. Dr. B used to have parties at his house and do drugs with the staff. He told me I would be in there the rest of my life and being 14yr old sounded so frightening

Dr B Was A **** , he did try and have me committed back in 1988 , i threatened him about his parties he was having - i was going to turn his *** in for using one of the female patients for his sex parties ! He was gluttin' for punishment ... i even had witnesses lined up for that.

i was the "smart" one back in the day (1987) when i decided to AWOL , I found out where they kept the keys for the hospital vehicles (in the center recreation dept) i used my plactic "Lodge ID" to jimmy the door and i was in , got all the keys to the vehicles and jumped in a full size white unmarked Dodge van along with a upper hospital patient i was dating (Margaret Wyche) she was running the old Kiosk , she took the money and about 50 cartons of smokes and a crap load of candy and cokes , and we hit the road . we were gone for 2 weeks and ran out of money , so we called the lodge and they came and got us . I do remember we were on unit restriction and staff escort for months , then when i got caught up in my highschool studies and graduated , i was about to turn 18 and i signed out AMA . Dr B tried to have me committed !
