Default Sadie Orchard - Hillsboro / Kingston

    Dear all,

Can anyone tell me anything about Sadie Orchard and her connections to these towns.

I am looking for a picture or illustration of her and any written information.

I have tried without success to contact the Black Range Museum but I have an incorrect email address.

I have heard of a small self published book about her life, but have no details.

Anything on Sadie and her towns of residence and other related material greatly appreciated.

    Yours

Default I wrote a book about Sadie Orchard

I self-published a book about Sadie Orchard, a madame, first New Mexico stagecoach driver and generally strong woman. She came to Kingston, Hillsboro and Lake Valley during the gold and silver rush in the 1880's, made lots of money but died a pauper.
    Contact me for more info.

My wife & I purchased Patsy's book at the Monte Cristo Gallery in Chloride. Lots of pictures and an interesting story. We really enjoyed the book.

    Dear Couch Potato,
Thanks for buying my book and happy you enjoyed it. Chloride, NM is really an interesting place. They have done so much work there but it is still a ghosttown.
