    Apparently Tip Top had its share of violence.

    Another killing occurred in Tip Top AZ in May 1881. This killing had a Wyatt Earp connection. See the 8th paragraph in the link below.

    Photo looking down into the 800 ft. shaft with headframe at the Tip Top mine Arizona. Flooding of this shaft at the lower levels was reportedly a problem in the early days. The shaft has recently been sealed off with pipe.

    This Tip Top comparison - Then & Now - is absolutely the greatest. The zoom-in feature using the mouse scroll wheel gets you right up-close. It's interesting though, that there doesn't appear to be as many saguaro cacti in the old pictures as there are in the recent pictures.
