    Default Yellowjacket Idaho

This is my favorite. I just noticed that there are no pictures on the site of this one.
Anyone else gone there? I just loved this place. I'd love to get back there before it's gone.
Yeah - I have pictures but they are real phots, in a box, in the spare room. After finding them I have to figure out this new scanner and blah, blah. I'll get there. Just wondered if there was anyone else that went.

The hotel looks a little worse than the pics I have but the mill still stands strong!
    Thanks for sharing!

    You're welcome!

We didn't spend as much time as I would have liked at Yellowjacket, but time was limited. I hope to have more time next summer.

I hope to visit that place in a few weeks, time permitting. I understand it is on private property?
Is the road up OK? That way I can take my Dad along instead of leaving him at camp. I usually ride a dual sport to the old mines instead of beating my F150 up.

Well, when we went about 4-5 years ago we took a Ford Taurus. It made it but a little more clearance would have been good. The oil pan took a beating but luckily we didn't poke a hole in it.
It is on Private Property though. There is a live in caretaker no I think.

A high clearance vehicle is recommended on the road to Yellowjacket. There is someone living onsite, and there are "No Trespassing" signs posted. I didn't get a chance to ask if anyone could enter. Next trip I will ask, because I would like to get some more pictures of the old buildings up close.

Look likes a great place to visit. But try to get some up close photos, of the buildings on your next trip. and if you could share the photos we would love to see them.

Up close of what? I have some of the stamps - 60 I think. Some of the hotel a little closer and some of the outbuildings and stuff on the ground. The problem is that they are all on film and when I scan the pictures are too big to load here.

I'd love to share if anyone can tell me how (type real slow so I can get it!)

Also, I think I've got about three rolls of the area so what would be most interesting to scan in?
