    Default Lime Oregon

I am planning a trip to Lime in September. We will be leaving Spokane and traveling by way of Richland and Baker City. What I was wondering is, are there any other interesting towns on the way or slightly out of the way the are worth stopping at? I do have a 4 wheel drive and am willing to do some off-road. Also, regarding Lime, where is the actual town located? I have seen the cement plant and that really is my goal, but it sounds like the actual town has been abandoned some time ago. Any help, maps, gps waypoints, any thing would be great.

    Coffee.
Was surprised to see Lime not listed on Oregon site here.

Anyway.... Austin, Greenhorn, Granite, and Sumpter...all just west of Baker, and just off OR7 very scenic and well worth effort. Further north is Union, just SE of LaGrande at JCT OR203 & 237.

Google Lime Oregon for pictures of Cement Plant on one of sites on 1st page.

Lime is/was about 8 miles +- north of Huntington on I-84.

    Default Whitney

I would recommend Whitney which is west of Baker City and right off the highway. This is a site worth seeing.
