Why are there **** in the title? If it's Blue ____? Mine, it should be noted like this or similar...the **'s here are for censored words.
I googled "Blue Mine Desert Center California", and the 1st site had some good pics out of Desert Center.

MacDaddy, The nearest mine I'm familiar with in that area is the old Kaiser Iron Mine at Eagle Mountain, it's located about 15 miles away from Desert Center and is mentioned in a thread on this forum. Eagle Mountain, CA - Ghosttowns.com Forums
There's some great offroad exploration in the Desert Center area, some small settlements and ruins of old cabins.
I'm curious about the Blue ****Mine (whatever that is) that you asked about. What's the name of the mine?

Laura.....Since a day has passed, and no one else has jumped out on that limb, I will suggest the Blue Lady Mine, somewhat s and w of Desert Center. I do so with absolutely no confidence, except that the Blue Lady sounds interesting and is within rocket range of Desert Center. Have a good story about Indio some evening when I've had too many Vodka Slurpee's. Speaking of Vodka Slurpee's...........

OJ, I'll gladly furnish the Smirnoff and I'm sure Drifter would furnish the Slurpee in the flavor of your choice, it would be a worthwhile investment to hear all about Indio.
I've got an Indio story myself, but alas, I'm too sober to tell it.
