Default Ghost towns around route 66 in OK

This June I'm going down Route 66 in Oklahoma and was wondering other then the Ghost towns on Route 66 if theres any good ones anywhere near Route 66. Also does anyone have directions to Provine, OK? I know where Hydro is but I was wondering which road to take. Thanks

I'd suggest DePew, oklahoma, basically on the stretch bewteen Tulsa and Oklahoma City. It's on a little loop right off the mother road, and it's got a business district that's pretty much entirely abandoned. Two businesses left, I think.
It's definitely worth the short sidetrip to visit the downtown.
    Easily distracted.

    Current distraction: Railroad Depots

Sorry I missed this query earlier.. Foss, Bridgeport, Frisco, Fallis, Avery, Shamrock, Slick, Kiefer, to name a few. Hard to guage what is close enough to the Mother Road to count. OJ

I know this is an old post, and a little off the topic, but has anyone made a rt. 66 trip? I would love to see pics if anyone has them.

Traveling along route 66...all the sights I would see along the way...that is something that is on my 'bucket list'.

"Bucket list"...you gave me a laff on that very current moniker.

I've also found a gazillion pics by googling various versions of "Route 66".
