    Default Idaho trip this summer?

Would anybody be interested in getting together for an Idaho ghost town trip this summer? I missed out on the big Idaho rally last year and was thinking about putting something together for this summer, if there's any interest.

I would be. Where were you thinking? I'm sure I could convince the wife...

I'd be more than happy to join you if I wasn't pregnant! I missed last year's Rally too (had to cancel at the last minute because of a funeral). I'm going to the Rally in Arizona this year which is next month, but by the time summer rolls around my belly will be way too round and will be way too hot for any outdoor activites (I'm due August 14). I'll be spending this summer parked right next to the air conditioner till the baby comes.

My wife, younger daughter, and I would be interested if our vacation times agree. Any idea what places, areas, dates? We live in North Idaho in Wallace about 50 miles east from Coeur D' Alene.

Hi Teddy- I know Wallace well, my wife grew up in Kellogg and Pinehurst. We miss the panhandle, although I think you had it pretty rough with the snow this year. My father-in-law live up Moon Gulch, and says he had quite a bit of snow this year...

    Hey All,

I'm pretty open as far as locations, I'd really like to check out the the Challis/Salmon area but I'd be up for anything. I was thinking of making the trip in late June/July, how does that sound? What places would you all like to see & what dates would work best for you guys?

I DOooo love the Yankee Fork! I'm in, if time and gas prices allow.

I'm also planning on camping in Yellow Pine/Yellow pine mine/Big creek
this summer. I have noticed that the weekend before the harmonica festival
that the salmon are spawning big time in the Yellow Pine Mine mill pond.
Something to see!! I was looking for "brookies" in the crick and was blown
away by the humongus salmon running all over the place.

Sounds good! I'm game as long as it's early enough in July or June. End of July I'll be gone on my 2nd tour in Iraq...

Actually, yes! I see you caught that! "Paladin" was the call sign given to me by my troops in Iraq. I was a Convoy Commander, and my specialty is as a Combat Arms specialist in the USAF Security Forces. So, one of my troops said:"Have gun, will travel! We'll call you Paladin."And it stuck...
