Red face Elk City Oregon photos uploaded

I wrote a new summary of Elk City, and I uploaded a fistfull of Ben Maxwell's photographs dating from 1940-1964 of the place. Look for it to be updated soon!

Cool! The new pics are on there.

The mill made it twice on there, I might have uploaded the wrong picture. Here's the one supposed to be in it's place.

Tsarevna -that photo, titled "Elk City, 1963", with the car at the gas pump, is wonderful. Any takers on what the car is?The 'good old days' might not have been perfect...... but they were a d-amn sight nicer looking than today! At least, the cars were!

There are times,, (like this)when I am really, really, really envious of you guys! I've never riden in a Chevrolet!
My elder brother says my (maternal) GrandDad owned one but, if he did, it is so far back in the mists of time.... I think I got lost.
Old American steel makes me think of Andy Hardy and Polly Benedict. Rumble seats!
