    Default Randsburg, CA

Hello, I visited a town called Randsburg, CA last May and it was awesome. I am a professional photographer and wanted to go back this summer to finish up photographing the town and its residents, does anyone know what goes on in these little ghosttowns in the summer months. I wasnt sure whether the residents flee to a cooler climate being the towns in this area are in the middle of the desert. Any help would be great, thanks!

Randsburg residents live there year round. I've been there every month out of the year. Great little photogentic place. We take my husband's photo students there on a field trip and they love it!

There is a small B&B in town called the Cottage Hotel; they just opened a pizzeria there and room rates are reasonable. Check out www.randsburg.com. Otherwise the nearest motels are in Ridgecrest, 18 miles away.

Be sure to visit "The Joint" for a cold one and to say "hi" to Olga, the legendary 97-year old owner.

And don't leave without having a malt from the "General Store", Randsburg's only cafe/store!

Enjoy...we LOVE it there, especially at sunset....
