ya know, us californian's thought the wild west was something from the 1800's. You guys in A.Z have it all....great canyons, nice mountains around flagstaff, fantastic ghosttowns, slot canyons, shootouts, smugglers, drug traffic, ........dang, what more could a person want....!

And with our current presidential choices, its only going to get worse, much worse! I am sick of this two party system.

I totally agree. This is prob the worst election in decades. Be that as it may, we californian's have something here much worse than Illegals. we have enviormentalists. Now that'll put a damper on ghosttown hunting! Given the choice, I'll take the illegals!

That would be utopia. There's a place in CA called Ivanpah Valley.....nice place in the desert.....their going to build an airport out there cuz the vegas airport is expected to reach max passenger capability in 2015. That sucks.

I'll take the environmentalists over the illegals and land developers myself. At least there will be something left when all is said and done.

What kills me about this is how it's made to be a Republican/Democratic issue or conservative/liberal issue. If you look at Obama's and McCain's stand, they're both identical to Bush's. It's going to be four more years of the same insanity no matter who wins. Some one is going to have to come up with a lot of clever graphs and charts to make me understand how McCain's identical stance on Border Security and immigration is different from Obama's identical stance of Bush's. Kind of like NAFTA: McCain likes it and won't change a thing and Obama doesn't like it, but won't change a thing. These are choices that divides people? Sounds like its business versus the American people to me.

Believe me Gary, it's tempting, very tempting somedays. A lot of us are telling ourselves down here that we are not at war yet.

It's actually going to be in the northern half of the valley, within Nevada, between Jean and Primm in Roach Dry Lake.

But I understand your feelings. Those of us long time and native born residents are tired of hearing our growth problems (especially since they are mainly fueled by greed) and all the sacrifices we have to make for future travelers and residents. And the Eastern side is tired of our inept government stealing their water.

We're not far behind. It's not uncommon to hear or see empty houses being occupied by illegals. And then there are the Home Depot and nursery parking lots.

Hopefully in the next few weeks, I can start to kiss this place goodbye.

Very distressing the increased leval of illegal activity in the Cheery cows.

Me thinks it must be met with force. Re establish Bowie & Rucker & fight these scumbags with hot lead. Its worked before.

It certainly would be nice, but not with this current crop of politicians! I cannot bring myself to vote for either one of the evil ********!
