    Default Pics!

    Yawn,..it's so quiet in here I thought some pic's were in order. Your's truely iin the red shirt by the river, was taken at Lytle Creek. About an hours drive from Long Beach CA. Not bad for being surrounded by urban development. The rest were taken in Ivanpah valley, at and around the "Rings trail". This was my 4 wheeling buddies first mine! Enjoy!

    Thanks,...Ivanpah valley is about 80 miles west of vegas..... nice area. And lytle creek is near ontario Ca...... if your familar with that area. It's beautiful there. Saw 2 deer when I was there that day.

    Nice shots Paul, thanks for sharing. What kind of cacti are those in img012? They look too skinny to be Saguaros?

    Thanks Gary. I downloaded the jpegs, but couldn't make out what they were.
    All I know is that the last saguaros vanished in California in the 1920's. That's when Arizona passed it's native plant laws. Yes, California had saguaros until the 1920's. If you've ever drive I-8 west, you keep seeing them until the Colorado River. Nature doesn't stop at state lines.

    That's interesting. I never knew they were in California, but that makes sense. Of course Mexico has some.
