    Default Another kind of "ghost town", an abandoned fort.

    This is Fort Ward, Washington. Don't know what condition it is now, but this was "then" in 1970. At that time it was completely deserted.

    With all these photos of places that the wife and I have already been, ...guess we'll be on more than one vacation this year!

    Isn't that one of the forts guarding the Sound? I prowled all through Fort Casey in the 1970s before they sealed off the tunnels and bunkers and stuff. Incredible installations, that's for sure. Your pictures are grand, thanks for posting them.
