Cows are very intelligent animals. I'm sure she knew what was going on. It is nice of you to consider her feelings.

I gots one of those, it's a '55. Though I forget the weight classifications, it looks like a F-600 since it's a dually. I could be wrong though.

Back here in New England, the abandoned cars are a bit fewer and farther between due to the overwhelming forces of scrap metal drives and rust working together. However, occasionally a neat old vehicle can be found, such as this 1957 GMC Suburban in Tewksbury, Mass.

The sticker in the window is from the MIT Instrumentation laboratory, and is dated from 1969.

I love these finds! I guess the bus is in Joshua? I'd go a long way to get some captures of the bus

Here is a mid '60s Suburban at nearly 11,000' on the San Francisco Peaks of northern Arizona.

The Weahterford Trail used to be a road that obviously was used as such until the mid '60s at least. I'm not sure when it was closed to vehicles. It is difficult to believe that is was ever driveable as it is now really washed out and narrow in many places. The area became designated wilderness in 1984. Here is a portion of a topo map showing the approximate location just south of Fremont Saddle. I haven't been up there since 2003 so I don't recall exactly where it is.

Finally, here is a picture of the Peaks from The Nature Conservancy preserve at Fern Mountain/Hart Prairie. The preserve buildings are the original log buildings used as a stage stop on the Flagstaff-Grand Canyon Stage Route around 1890. The location of the Suburban is behind the peak (Agassiz Peak) that is on the right side of the photo.
