That is an early 40's, possibly 1941, Dodge Power Wagon. If I lived closer to Cali, I might just have taken a drive with the truck and trailer to pick that up. I want to refurbish a early model Power Wagon and an early 50's Dodge B-Series Pilothouse pickup. I'm looking to put in the CRD 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins into both. Looks like someone is working on it right where it sits. I found this pic online showing jack stands and a rock as a wheel chock. That seems to be a good base. But, that has to be someone's property.

Anyone know where this one could be found? An artist friend would like to take some pics, if it is decent to get to.

25000 W Avra Valley Rd, Marana, AZ ‎

It would be near the Silverbell Mine around the Tucson suburb of Marana. Its not a difficult area to reach as it is just off I-10; the address I listed is for the mine which is located very nearby to the ghost town of Silverbell. Just a word of caution though; Silverbell lies within the Ironwood Forest National Monument and has a TON of smuggling activity out there as of late. You aren't really supposed to be armed on BLM controlled land like that and it is a tad bit dangerous. I would also expect to be pulled over by Border Patrol at least once or twice on your way to the town and mine. Its a neat place; I don't know if the vehicle if you're searching for will be there anymore though with the mine recently expanding.

Indeed, I work in Marana and am fairly familiar with the area and the dangers of the illegal traffic. It's sad that has to be such a concern for us when going out to have a good time and enjoy the desert!

Its the whole border strip from Tucson all the way to Yuma that is like these days. Ajo Way (SR86) is out of control with Border Patrol all over the place from Kitt Peak to the end of the Tohono Lands by Why. I guess that the smugglers just cut over on Tohono to get to the Sonoran Desert National Monument or Ironwood Forest since there is next to no civilization. Things are bad around Organ Pipe Cactus and along the old El Camino Del Diablo west to Yuma. A couple years back a couple buddies and I took some Jeeps on the Diablo. We must have been stopped by Border Patrol warning us about drug runners at least a dozen times. I think that was 2008 and we never went back; it wasn't like that when I first went in 2002.

Anyways I neglected to mention just before the Silverbell Mine there is a dirt road on the South Side of Arva Valley Road called Silverbell Road. This road led to what is left of the townsite, although I'm not sure its still there. Silverbell Road was badly washed out when I visited Ironwood last October so I didn't tempt fate for a short ride. I'm not sure what is left to find, hopefully your truck is still there.
