    Default Texas, New Mexico, Arizona

Hey, we are going to be heading from Houston to Yuma Az around Dec 18th. ,mostly along I 10 until Casa Grande Az. then on I 8 to Yuma. This is our first trip west, and we would like to see some awesome places , within a reasonable distance of the Interstates. Which towns are worth the drive etc. What would you recommend as must see's and not woth the trip? Any directions, info, advice, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks, mr-elmo

You absolutely positively must - it's a must-see - make a small detour and see Terlingua, Texas

    Have a good trip!

PS Why would anyone willingly go to Yuma?

Oh, yeah, Big Bend National Park is there by Terlingua, too. It's a Very Cool place.

I didn't say willingly ,We have a grandbaby due to be born. I'm looking forward to the trip more than the destination.

    Default Trip to Yuma

Steins, NM is located right next to I-10 and is west of Lordsburg, NM. At exit 3.
A few miles south of Lordsburg is Shakespeare, NM once called Raleigh and also a stop on the Old Butterfield Trail Stage Line.

Dos Cabezas is also close to I-10 in Arizona. Use the Wilcox exit.

The #1 site to see on your trip - South of Benson - the city of TOMBSTONE and the OK Corral. Take the stagecoach ride around the town and learn the history of the area.
