Default Old Camp Supply, a futile search

A couple of old maps of Southern Arizona show "Camp Supply" along Silver Creek, east of douglas and just north of the US-MEx border. On my way to that area, first I stopped in Lowel on my way to Bisbee to grab a cup of java for the road. Lowell, nearly a ghosttown, has an everchanging display of old classics parked there.

The pumps were removed decades ago and suddenly reappeared about three weeks ago. Yippee!

Always critters can be seen on the way to one's destination.

I completely struck out in finding any remains of anything relating to Camp Supply, nor any indication of native habitation. Only water botttles, backpacks and lots of border patrols.

The lead backpack is much larger than the rest.

Right after they cleared the saddle, a BP came driving by. He was on his way to where other BPs had just snagged 23 crossers, a half mile from where I was searching for old forts. He laughed at my report and told me I better leave before then sun sets, cause that's when the real fun starts. Adios.
