Default Mines near Reno, NV ?

I was wondering if anyone could suggest mines near Reno that are fun to visit. I've been to the Nightingale (near Pyramid Lake) and will probably hit the MGL mine this weekend. I prefer places off the beaten path and a little hiking is ok. I'm willing to travel several hours from Reno if that helps.

This is my first post so be gentle please

Any pics? I have seen the Nightingal Mine on the map for years, just never took the time to check it out. Is the mine open to explore? Did you drive there from 447 and headed east or turned off I80 and headed north? Do you like to explore in the mines or just visit ghosttown buildings and equipment?

I didn't take any pictures. There aren't really any buildings except for a mill foundation and a couple tanks. I followed one tunnel about 75 yards back before it dead ended. There are a couple vertical shafts so the mine has one more level at least. I drove in from I80 and drove out via Nixon. Both roads are very good.

I like to go inside mines but I would also be interested in places with just buildings and equipment. I don't go down vertical shafts though

Went to the Seven Troughs area today. Tons of mines and a small ghost town with a stamp mill. So many mines that I didn't get to them all

Don't know what you mean by "near" Reno but Virginia City is only 30 miles away and has enough to keep you busy for quite a while. Also out around Dayton and Sutro are many more. Just down the road from Virginia City is Gold Hill and Silver City.
