    Default Laurel, Nevada

Silver was found in the Krum Hills west of Winnemucca Mountain [north-central Nevada] in 1910; Laurel the camp was born. Located nearly within sight of my house - less than 9.5 miles north - little, sweet Laurel is a honey of a ghost town. On a verdant green springtime day a few days ago, I decided to visit little Laurel.

Come visit Laurel for yourself on my website at http://www.gbr.4wdtrips.net/trips/laurel.html

After reading this thread earlier this summer, my wife and I found the townsite below the Pansy Lee mine (West Coast mine). Mostly ruins, I can also see the mine from my home here in Grass Valley.( the link goes to MINEDAT.org, and lists the minerals found in the mine)
