Default Any ideas for abandon ghost towns near mammoth lakes, CA?

I am staying in Mammoth for a few days, so I get to wake up and drive a few hours to some places I normally wouldn't have the time to (live in LA). Does anyone have any suggestions on ghost towns or abandon mines in that general vicinity? I am willing to drive MAX 4 hours (one way). I am looking into eastern Nevada now, some good places there. My main objective is to be where no other people are! Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!
Oh, and by the way, anyone know what's going on with Cerro Gordo??

I mean to say Western Nevada, not Eastern-that'd be a bit far! Thanx

Masonic, over by Bodie would be a possibility. Take the road out of Bridgeport. I've posted a bunch of pictures on here. Use the search function and you'll come up with info on the town. There's been lots of info on here about Cerro Gordo. Again check the search function.
