Exclamation Can a central Oregon person check out Perrydale please?

The train station of Perrydale (Polk County) is thought to be the oldest in Oregon. 1879'ish.
Unfortunately when I visited it in April 2009 I found the small station leaning precariously and sinking into very soggy lawn where there was clearly either a bust pipe underground or a drain blockage.

I fear the station may already be collapsed but I have no way of knowing. If you want to see it, I advise anyone to go now.

Please let me know what you find. Even if the station is gone, the rest of the town is worth the visit. (It's a tiny village; if you cant find it then that means it's gone.) Should that be the case, please speak to a local and try to get a date and reason for it's demise.

There is a remote possibility someone bought it to try and move it but i consider that unlikely.

The depot is gone from the old location.

A couple of local people indicated that it had been moved to be used as a backyard cottage, to the "fancy schmancy house" down the street.

I believe they were referring to a stately Victorian house a couple of blocks away.

There doesn't appear to be a way to view the depot from the street.

Thank goodness someone moved it before it fell.

Thank you for checking on that for me Zardac! When I find my pictures of my visit last summer I'll post them.
