Question What other ghost-town-related hobbies do you have?

It seems like most of us aren't strictly interested in ghost towns but also have related hobbies. There are lots of railroad fans, off-roaders and some firearms enthusiasts.

Here are some of my hobbies that go along with ghost town research and visits:

    1. historical research (especially the 1870s)
    2. firearms (both appreciation and target shooting)
    3. dirt-roading (not hardcore off-roading, but more like driving dirt roads in the desert to see what I can see)
    4. architecture appreciation and photography
    5. medieval Japanese castle research and appreciation
    6. mining research (especially the Comstock and eastern California silver mines)
    7. the use of silver (coins, bullion, trade with Asia) in the mid to late 19th century)
    8. road trips (set me off to explore some back roads of California and I'm as happy as can be)

I also like WWII aircraft and a number of other things, but they don't have much to do wth ghost towns.

What floats your boat besides ghost towns?

    Historical Research (Ghost towns, shipwrecks)
    Road trips
Exploring a lot of out of the way places
    Finding abandoned automobiles
    Working on cars
    Easily distracted.
