    Question Montana Sites looking for

Fiance and I are traveling to Montana for the first time in late Spring and looking
for information to sites near Libby Montana we will be in Troy. We are driving from Spokane, WA
and planning a side trip to Philipsburg. If there are any books you could reccomend. I am new at these sites as I have
always been into abandoned buildings of newer types like insane asylums etc. but growing older I am missing the connection
of my Grandfather who was a barn builder .
Am I am an avid photographer and in exchange for information will provide you with huge amounts of photographs
in exchange to whoever wants to help me out
Does this group run google map with pins for the members btw to organize your info?
Or could anyone let me know of any good worthwhile books ?
    Thanks and Happy Holidays
    Laura

I'll answer one question: No, we don't google map with pins. Although that sounds like a grand idea, it's the quickest way to let idiots, thieves, vandals, American Pickers, and others to trash our heritage. We prefer to network among other enthusiasts for information (The old fashioned way)

Check the Montana listings on the front site.

Also, we love pictures, you cannot take too many! Keep us posted!

I have not found any really near where I am or above Troy Montana or that area of Canada above. I will look at the front site I did not find this earlier.

So in case anyone else that reads this might be interested here is another pages of a lot of links of info

As I stated in my original post I am very into dilapidated buildings
Here is a really cool site which on each post when you click on the pics of each post will take you to other galleries wonderful pics here.

When I lived in Arizona I was amazed ho many things were always lying around in plain site and untouched for years.
If store would stop selling spay paint a lot of problems would be solved, both for the environment and history!
This is a great site! Thanks again

Best book for the Phillipsburg/Granite area is called GHOST TOWN TRAILS. You can get this book at the Miners museum in Phillipsburg.
