Jim you are doing a great job. Pictures are never like being there But alot of GT members pleasures are disappearing. Gas prices are not to bad right now but I, myself dont like going off road and tearing up the roads with mud etc. Plus I'd rather be stuck when its warm than cold. I guess I'm on of the oldtimers on this forum and we are a great bunch. Vulture was just slightly sarcastic wait till you read some of Brian10x sarcasm. It is in fun and hope you continue. Thanks

You really need to get out and see this area. The entire route from Caliente to Lake Isabella is breath taking. Real cowboy country! Highly recommended.

Today I started a Kickstarter fundraising campaign to raise the funds needed to finish my book, Ghost Towns & Mining Camps of the Death Valley Region. I need to raise $11,000 to ensure its completion. A majority of the money needed is to cover printing costs. I’m looking at around 200 pages, mostly printed in full color. If I do not receive the full $11,000 pledged, the project will not be funded. The deadline to reach the goal is January 10th, 2012 at 10:30am (PST). You may help fund this project here.

PLEASE NOTE: IF I DON’T REACH THE GOAL YOU WILL NEVER BE CHARGED.

TED FAYE of GOLD CREEK FILMS (Strange Tales Video Series) has agreed to write the forward to my book! I’m extremely excited to have Ted be a part of this project! You can check out some of Ted’s work on his website.

What is the books area of focus?
