    Default RIP Davey Jones

I'm sure there are those of you who recall the 60's...

Davy Jones of The Monkeys passed away earlier.

Yup. Used to watch the TV show. Loved the Monkey mobile I think I recall Revell having a model of it on the market, along with the likes of the Batmobile, the Munster Mobile and Grandpa Munster's coffin mobile). Even then I recall that there was some controversy over the Monkeys made for TV creation in the media. But the songs were catchy and hummable and written by known and then unknown artists.

    Default The Monkees were fun.

and I always enjoyed the incongruity of Jimi Hendrix serving as their opening act.
