    Default Southern Illinois Area?

I will be doing a trip to visit Cairo and Kaskaskia in southern Illinois (from the Peoria area) and would be interested in stopping by various abandoned settlements along the way. Suggestions anyone? If it helps we have no issue going into a little bit of Missouri and Kentucky. I am fairly new to this, so any bit helps.

You won't be far from Fairfield Illinois. Stop and see Burgerville Ill. population 3.

There are no signs. I use to live in Fairfield and still have relatives there. It is about 5 miles north/east of Fairfield. The post office can probably tell you how to get there.

When I was in high school Geff and Cisne were almost ghost towns population dropped to about 25 people, they both made a come back Geff is now about 250 people, not sure about Cisne my cousin lives there I could ask her.

Browns Illinois on hwy 15 east of Albion. This town was population of 1 for a while I don't much about it now.
