Exclamation Marlborough Michigan - HistoryDiggerz will be on site July 3-5, 2012

    July 3 -7, 2012

HistoryDiggerz has received permission from the primary land owner at Marlborough to hunt, explore and MD this location.
We will be camping at Ivan's camground in Baldwin MI on those dates listed above.
I will report back our findings, experiences and the current status of the location when we return.

What we need to find out:
    1. The plats around Marlborough; are they vacant foundations, cellar holes or still standing structures?
According to this map below from 1987 the structures still stand around and near Marlborough, however the buildings within the cement factory are not reported.

    3. Kilns: Location

    4. Warehouse: Location

    5. Railroad loading docks: Location

    7. General Store: Location

    8. Other building locations or places of interest.

If anyone already has this information mapped can you please share?

The old warehouse is located right on James Rd. and is easily seen. Some of the other structures (the Romanesque-looking stuff) is back a bit towards the lake on some trails. Its been a couple years since I have been there.

Thanks for the info. I have read all of your posts on Marlborough and Idlewild.
We plan to MD both Marlborough and Idlewild and the more information we have Prior the better we can make use of the time. The main building in front is the warehouse I think and the next building we would want to MD would be the hotel area and living quarters of the locals of the time. The general store I think would turn up quite a bit as well.

    Any info is appreciated.
