    : Most of the gold mining in Oregon took place in the NE part of the state. There are many mines and a number of ghosttown sites as previous responces have indicated. I have photographed extensivly in the area. I reccommend visiting: Sumpter, Bourne, Granite, Greenhorn, Whitney, and Cornucopia. If you want more info e-mail me @: photopro@oregontrail.net
