    Lightbulb A long time ago

I was just looking at the last time I posted anything, 5/2/11. No wonder I, going insane because its been that long since I've done any exploring. Actually since summer of 2010. I would like to know how many of the members who have been around forever are still around. You all know who you are. Lets see if we can get our interest in GT going again.

This site seems to be in bad shape. I have not been able to get on for a few weeks. Glad it is back, and hope it stays up. Seems real slow, but I can deal with that.

I know what you mean. Spring fever has set in. Lets hope we still have a place to share our adventures......

I've been trying to keep an eye on the site, when it works, but haven't had much to say lately.

Got a number of pictures to post, just not the time to do so these days...

Same desires, different life. Long period of unemployment changed my perspective. Add to that the current political climate. Reduced the fleet to one vehicle and that vehicle had to get better MPG than the Jeep. Started prepping for bad times just in case.

If I had the foresight to invest in some land out in the middle of nowhere I might not be living in the city anymore.

Hey Brian. How are you doing besides that bro. Even tho it sounds like a lot. I am hoping to be able to have a vacation finally this year now IRS is off my back. AZ is one of the places I would like to go. It will be in the best time of the year, JULY. I'll be carrying two fifty gallon drums insulated. one for gas the other water. I am tired of this cold weather here in UT. Spring thru Summer don't last long enough here.

    Hello mates,
I'm very happy to see the forum is back too. I've been working on a degree for a bit, but have Spring fever now. My adventurer's compass is swinging wildly, and I can't decide where I should explore first.
I've been real busy, but yeah, I want to get back in the saddle again.

I'm getting ready to load up the Jeep for new adventures!!!
    Yes!!! Finally!!!

For the last three years, I've had the best job I've ever heard of.
Unfortunately, I was "on call" 24/7/365. I could not leave cell
phone range. That severely limited my ability to go "Boondocking."

Last August I had a "medical crisis" and as a result was forced
into an early unwanted meager retirement. I spent 8 days in the ICU
and two months in bed. But, I feel great now!
My doc tells me, that apparently.......I'm not going to live for
ever, as I had originally planned, LOL!

    I have learned to....
    1. Seize the day.
    2. Smell the roses.
    3. Make my own fun.
    4. Hug my wife and kids as much as possible.
    5. Eat "whatever the heII" I want.
    6. Not put off things I have dreamed of doing.
    7. Embrace every new day as the gift and blessing that it is.

    ( I don't wear a watch anymore. I don't care what time it is )

I'm glad this site is back up. I live vicariously through everyone
else's adventures. We need to make them happen, while we still can.

    Thanks all,
    Dan

I like to hear you are well.
Now,i had a similar decision taken.
When i was 50 i was seating by a Beer thinking what im doing the next 50 Year.
Well,i came to the conclusion that i first have to change my Lifestyle to get another 50 Year. Went a few Time to Sierra Nevada and Mojave Dessert and like it. (In Winter, early Spring)
May get me a few Acre somewhere, putting a Cabin on it,to be closer to some Historical Sites i haven't seen yet,and there are plenty of it.
