This was a place a buddy of mine grew up, the homes haven't been lived in since they left 14 years ago. The location is just north of Gila Bend but south or the Reservation land. On the way we almost hit a javelina that bolted through a fence and across the road. So after that we found the road can be accessed with a 4wd or anything higher than stock ride height, we walked to stay quiet if we stumbled across anyone. First we reached the Apartment building on the left after entering the property about a 1/4 mile off the road, we explored around there for a bit but didn't venture too far inside with the deterioration of the roof and huge chunks hanging down. The sun was starting to go down so we ventured over to his old house, the one that was gutted by fire, after we took some photos and may have had an appearance. We went next door to the grandparents house, then next to that was the house that he doesn't remember anyone ever living in which was pretty intact, we found a bee hive behind the medicine cabinet in the wash room so we promptly got a safe distance from them since we were a good hour from a good hospital and there were probably about 50-80 bees in the wall. After the sun was almost gone we ventured our way back to the car with the headlamp and flashlights. Sorry for the lack of photos, this was our first trip all together. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and looking forward to some mines.
(Also I will do a better job of organizing the photos next time, these pictures were taken on both iPhone camera and a older digital camera)

Fun trip, cant wait for the next Adventure. Until next time,
That whole area from Arlington onto Fortuna Foothills has a lot of older structures from the old US 80 days. The one I always enjoyed is the Gillespie Bridge and what is left the **** a couple miles north of Gila Bend. You get off SR-85 anywhere and its really apparent how past its prime Gila Bend really is.
