I am fascinated with abandoned settlements, no matter where in the world they may be.

Such is the case with Hashima, Japan. It's a place I've always wanted to explore but that seems like a distant dream.

Now, why am I bringing this up? Because, recently, I was made aware that Google Street View went onto this island and have allowed various 360 views on this former mining island. It doesn't take the place of exploring yourself, of course, but there are some fantastic views here.

Does anyone know of any other fun abandoned locales like this that have ended up on Street View?
