    Default Carrizo Gorge

    This is the first in a short series of documentary videos on the historic, scenic Carrizo Gorge and the San Diego & Arizona Railway line that runs through it. This video explores the northern end of the gorge route. The trestles, tunnels, and tracks remain largely unchanged more than one hundred years after they were constructed. In fact, most of the rails are original, with dates on them as early as 1911. The line has seen only intermittent use since 1976.

    Ray;

    I finally fired up my big computer to watch your video. I like using a big monitor when I'm looking at details. I enjoyed it and look forward to viewing the other two. The only other video that I've seen of Carrizo Gorge was a Huell Howser episode of California Gold. They came in to the Goat Canyon trestle by rail speedsters from the other direction.

    This is the second in a short series of documentary videos on the historic, scenic Carrizo Gorge and the San Diego & Arizona Railway line that runs through it. This video explores the area between tunnels #17 and #19, including the group of hillside trestles known as the Seven Sisters.
